Straumann® Membrane Flex is a collagen-based regenerative membrane material that can be absorbed by the body and is used in oral surgery procedures as a resorbable membrane material for: • simultaneous use with guided bone regeneration (GBR)-membrane and bone grafting; • expansion around the grafted tissue placed in temporary tooth extraction sockets; • expansion around the grafted tissue placed in permanent tooth extraction sockets; • expansion of the cervical margin of the tooth to support future implant placement; • regeneration of the tooth socket margin to facilitate restorative treatment; • filling of bone defects created by tooth extraction, tooth extraction, or removal of remaining teeth; • guided bone regeneration in cases of tooth loss; and • guided tissue regeneration in cases of periodontal disease.
