Technical Details

- The hip prosthesis is indicated for individuals who require surgery for the first time to replace a damaged hip joint and for those who require revision surgery of the hip joint because other treatment methods or devices are not able to restore the damaged hip joint due to trauma or because of non-inflammatory degenerative joint disease (NIDJD) or because of any condition of chronic inflammatory arthritis, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, trauma, femoral head subluxation, femoral neck fracture, and various forms of cartilage and bone dysplasia. - The hip prosthesis is also indicated for patients with chronic inflammatory arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis and secondary arthritis, and for dislocation; cases of non-union, femoral neck fracture, and fractures of the femoral head near the femoral head that are related to the femoral head and that are not amenable to other treatment modalities; metal prosthesis placement, bone drilling, Gridlestone surgery, and treatment of hip fractures and dislocations; and various bone and joint dysplasias
