The ACUSON P500 Ultrasound Imaging System is designed to provide images or signals from inside the body to a trained medical specialist in the clinical environment for the following applications: Fetal, Abdomen (including liver), Pediatric, Small Parts, Transcranial, Transesophageal, Obstetrics/Gynecology (useful for observing the ovaries, ovarian cysts, uterus and other pelvic structures), Lung, Pelvis, Newborn Head, Heart, Within the Heart Chambers, Blood Vessels (including Peripheral Vessels), Musculoskeletal, Musculoskeletal at Depth, and Urology. The system also provides the capability to measure anatomic structure and supports the computational packages that provide information to the clinical radiologist, information that can be combined with other medical data the radiologist obtains for the purpose of clinical diagnosis.
