Summary
Both Phacoemulsification surgery alone and combined Phaco-trabeculectomy have been reported by many authors to be associated with changes in the anatomy and drainage angle of the anterior chamber, Pentacam has potential for safe, noncontact screening of eyes with glaucoma, except for those with plateau iris configurations.7 Also, it provides qualitative and quantitative assessment of the anterior segment structures important to the pathogenesis and the anatomical variations of glaucoma, and the approach to and success of different techniques of surgical intervention. The main objective of our study is to compare anterior segment pentacam changes after phacoemulsification versus combined phaco-trabeculectomy in primary angle-closure glaucoma.
